How often can I come to the Belfast Soup Kitchen?You are welcome to visit us every day we’re open! Belfast Soup Kitchen serves the community Monday-Friday, 10am-1pm excluding holidays. Join us for a friendly coffee hour starting at 10am, and enjoy a freshly prepared dine-in meal at 11am. Takeout is available 10:30am-1pm.

How much does a meal cost?Our meals are completely free of charge, although donations are always appreciated. Your generosity helps us continue serving the community, and every contribution makes an impact.

What are the eligibility requirements to dine at the Belfast Soup Kitchen?There are no eligibility requirements - everyone is welcome! We’re here to provide food to anyone in need, with no questions asked.

Do I have to dine in at the Belfast Soup Kitchen?If you’re short on time, we’re happy to provide you with a meal to-go. Just stop by and see one of our friendly volunteers! We offer to-go meals from 10:30am-1pm Monday-Friday.

Do you only serve soup?Not at all! We serve a full, hot, and delicious meal every day. Our menu varies, so check out this weeks menu here.

What if I have a family member who can’t visit the Belfast Soup Kitchen?We offer meals to go for those who can’t dine in with us. We also offer a weekly meal delivery program for homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities - Just let us know how we can help!

When is the Belfast Soup Kitchen closed for holidays?The Belfast Soup Kitchen will be closed on the following holidays: New Years Day Martin Luther King Jr. Day Presidents Day Patriots Day Memorial Day Independence Day (4th of July) Labor Day Indigenous People’s Day Veterans Day Thanksgiving Day Friday following Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day

What is the Belfast Soup Kitchens inclement weather policy?The Belfast Soup Kitchen is committed to feeding our community, but in the event of inclement weather, we may need to close for safety reasons. Any changes or closures will be posted on our website, Facebook page, and our Instagram page. Please check there for updates before visiting

What services are offered at the Kindness Community Market?The Kindness Community Market is a grocery store-style food pantry open to everyone. To shop, guests simply need to register and complete a Good Shepherd Food Bank TEFAP form. Once registered, guests can select from a variety of meats, bread, fresh produce, dairy, bakery goods, deli items, and shelf-stable items. Shopping is available once per week, with the amount of options based on household size and the recommended MYPLATE guidelines. The Kindness Community Market is open Monday-Thursday, 10am-6pm and Friday 10am-3pm.
